2010

Happy New Year!!! (I know I'm 5 days too late, but better late than never, right?? >.<)

New Year's resolution - that seems to be the 'list' that all of us should think of in aspect to the coming new year (which already had come and go). But, I never really had a proper new year's resolution. In fact, the last time I wrote my New Year's resolution was in Form 2. English assignment. -_-"

To be frank, I never believed in New Year's resolution. Why have a resolution just because it's New Year? Does this mean you will only work hard for these resolutions just because it's new year?
I don't agree with such thinking. Yes, it might (to certain people.) give the extra kick. But, hell, having a resolution any time of the year is as good as new year's resolution. Why do we have resolution? That's because we want to change. We can change any time any where we want, as long as we have the motivation. Who says it being New Year will give us the motivation? So why bother with New Year's resolution? And how often do you follow through your New Year's resolution?

Life

Sometimes I'm afraid that I'm too focused on what I want
Until I've neglected what other routes/ experiences that life offers
I'm afraid that my goal isn't my ultimate goal
I'm worried that the outcome is disappointing
How I wish I could look into my future
To determine my path
But,
I am blind.
I cannot see.

It's scary,
To walk down the path that I've chosen,
Not knowing what awaits at the finishing point.
But, there's one thing I know.
If I don't like the outcome,
I've wasted time, money and energy.

If I could have a time-turning machine
It wouldn't matter
Because I could do it all over again.
Choose another path,
If the outcome isn't rewarding,
I can do it all over again.
And again.
And again.

That's a fantasy.
Not life.

Life,
No matter I like or hate the outcome
I'll have to continue.
